The Jr. Jets Hockey Development Program is designed for players who have completed Learn to Play and are ready to take the next step in their hockey development before transitioning to full-team play.

Take a Shot at Hockey is a FREE introductory 30-minute skating class designed for children who are interested in hockey but have very little to no skating experience. This program is open to boys and girls ages 4–9 and junior boys and girls ages 10–13.

Take a Shot at Hockey is designed to introduce children to hockey and encourage them to continue developing their skating skills through our Learn to Skate program. To develop the skating skills needed to play hockey, skaters can progress through our Hockey 1 and Hockey 2 classes. After completing Hockey 1 and 2, skaters can then progress to Learn to Play Hockey.

FOR BEGINNER SKATERS ONLY — VERY LITTLE TO NO SKATING EXPERIENCE!

Skaters who have previously participated in Learn to Skate or Learn to Play are NOT eligible for Take a Shot at Hockey

What to Expect

• FREE 30-minute introductory class with skate rental included
• NO hockey equipment is provided
• All participants must wear a bike or ski helmet, especially if this is their first time on the ice

Interested in playing hockey? After completing our Pre-Hockey 1 and Pre-Hockey 2 classes, Learn to Play is your next step to success! Each level teaches skills that encourage basic coordination, balance and movement in a fun and entertaining atmosphere.

We offer Open Hockey and Sticktime where you can work on your skills either in a pickup environment or on your own.

Open Hockey: $23/skater

Open Hockey: Free for goalies (must have equipment)

Sticktime: $25
